I woke up this morning with Riley - Stacey's cat - wanting to practically sit on my head. Needless to say she was wanting some attention. Now I must admit that I often sleep with earplugs so when I removed them this morning imagine my surprise when I heard rain. It's the end of May - we don't usually get very much rain this time of year. This wasn't a kind of downpour, just a nice gentle rain. Soooo awesome. I've been doing what's called Morning Pages from the book The Artist's Way. I was sitting there writing when I looked out the window and saw this tree.
Doesn't really look like much - actually needs a trimming but when I looked up at the one branch on the far right this is what I saw.
I don't know if you can see them or not but I instantly thought of diamonds. And so many....they were just sparkling so in the light and were so pretty. I mean really - what's not to like about diamonds. I think I'll call this Mother Nature's Bling Bling for the trees. Every now and then we all want to get a little dressed up.
