Black Friday 2016

November 25, 2016

A lovely morning.

It was actually black Friday. I went up to Las Cruces to the Wild Birds Unlimited store for their black Friday sale. I saw Sara the owners rescued dog and had a nice little visit with her. She is such a sweet, shy, nervous little dog.

When I left there I decided I wanted to walk a labyrinth.  I've been to 3 up there that are open to the public. I wanted to walk the last one I had been at with the Las Cruces Labyrinth Walkers but could not remember where it was. Walked the first one I had ever walked in Cruces and enjoyed it immensely. The snapchat overlay said it was 36 degrees - I believed it. I loved the yellow flowers that were still in bloom in spite of the colder weather.

From there I started back to the house and to take care of Mom. Now off the interstate I have seen this feed store that looked like it had all kinds of animals - camel, cows etc. in small pens. I am thinking of getting a heated dog bowl so I can provide water for the birds over the winter and decided to stop into this feed store and see if they had one and see what the heck was up with the animals.

Well gee it was not as bad as I thought. In the first pen there were 2 camels, 3 or 4 Longhorn cows and a Buffalo/Bison. In the next one was a pony, mini donkey and 3 or 4 pigs. The one after that was full of goats, males, females, and babies and 2 Alpacas. There were baby goats on my side of the fence and they were going in/out of the fencing. The last pen on this side had a different species of goats.

When I was kneeling down to check out the baby goats the next thing I knew there was a hound dog in my face. Really sweet dog. I didn't even really check to see if it was male or female. It didn't really matter. You see I had started offering Reiki to any of the animals that wanted to receive it. As I was kneeling down some of the goats in the pen were very curious and were checking me out. When the dog came over, who I think clearly knew something good was flowing from me, the goats became very focused on me. One was getting that sleepy Reiki face. The dog was loving the flow as well.

I was looking at the Buffalo/Bison and then started to tear up. I'm not sure if they were my tears or hers - at least I think it was a female. Very moving experience and I keep thinking about her. I will be offering her distant Reiki the next few days.
