A New Animal Reiki Test Project Part 1

The title sounds a bit weird but it's accurate and a bit of a story.

On 7/3/17 I was running errands and had been to Best Buy to pick up something the ATT repairman would need on 7/5/17. I was all set and going to head back to the house. But no, I was in the big parking lot for all these stores and decided that since I was driving by Office Depot I would stop and pick up a refill for a stamp pad. Random need and not necessary at 330p the day before the 4th.

I park and as I'm walking in I hear this cry. I thought it was a bird but as I kept hearing it I realized it was a cat. I walk back to see if I can find it and under the car in front of where I'd parked was a kitten. She was so very little. I started Reiki for her highest and best.

Now please understand that the temperature was around 103 and the pavement was so hot. I was very worried for the kittens paws being burnt from the hot pavement. I tried to get her out but she stayed right in the middle. Luckily several people saw me, can't image how I must have looked, and they came to help. It took a bit but we finally captured her. I had one of those neck things to keep you cool in the car and burrito wrapped her in it. One couple went into Office Depot and got me a box to put her in and then we sealed it up.

I continued offering Reiki to this little kitten for her highest and best. I was talking to her and she was so still and quite that I ended up opening the box. I was concerned that due to the stress that she had passed. She looked at me but clearly was done in.

My daughter was helping me find rescue organizations to call so I could take her somewhere. I was able to talk with a couple of people but they only dealt with wild animals. One of them told me that Animal Services here was a no kill shelter. No other rescue organization answered their phone.

I kept talking to her and kept the Reiki flowing as I drove to Animal Services.
At one point while I was driving I looked at her through the hole that served as a handle. She had moved and was laying there watching me. Very calm and quiet but watching. I was thrilled that she was ok and not trying to get out while I was driving.

We arrive at Animal Services about 430p and thank goodness they were still open. They told me that if she couldn't be adopted they would put her back where I found her. I said ok and left her. Here is the only photo I got from that day when I was leaving her. I didn't want to but knew she needed to be looked at by a vet.
